Training College (formerly the Grand Lycée Yersin School) is an architecture
recognized by the World Association of Architects (UIA) as one of the 1,000
unique buildings of the world in the 20th century. The school was founded by
the French in 1927, designed by architect Moncet and built for French children
and wealthy Vietnamese families. In 1932, Petit Lycée Dalat was renamed to Grand
Lycée de DalatLycée Yersin to commemorate Dr. Alexandre Yersin (who discovered
Da Lat). Classes of the school are in arc-shape, bricks for construction of the
school are red ceiling bricks from Europe, the roof is roofed with tiles from
France. Currently most of tiles have been replaced due to their long age. The
highlight of the arc-shaped row of houses is the bell tower. Outside the bell
tower there was a clock, but it might have been dismantled, visitors can only
see traces of the big clock reprinted on the brick floor. There was no bell
above the bell tower as it was probably dismantled during the old regime
