Don Dak Lak National Park
Yok Don National Park Dak Lak is located in Krong Na commune,
Buon Don district, Dak Lak province. The core area is 115,545 ha, including 3
subdivisions: strict protection zone (80,947 ha), ecological restoration
subdivision (30,426 ha) and administrative service subdivision (4,172 ha). The
buffer zone is 113,890 ha, with long-term settled villages such as Buon Don and
Jang Lanh, etc. The inhabitants are mainly ethnic minorities such as E De, M'nong
and some migrant people like Tay, Muong, etc.
It has a typical dipterocarp forest ecosystem and rich flora and
fauna. In addition, it is home to 62 mammal species, 46 reptile species, 15
amphibian species, 196 bird species and 464 species of plants, etc. Among 56 species
of rare animals as collected in Indochina, there are up to 38 species in Yok

2. Guide to Yok Don
Yok Don National Park
is 40 km far from Buon Ma Thuot city on the northwest. From Buon Ma Thuot City,
It takes about 1.5 hours to reach Yok Don, which is very convenient to travel
by taxi, motorbike or bus. Buses are in pink and green colors, labeled Buon Ma
Thuot - Buon Don - Ea Sup, 30 minutes per trip from 6 am - 5 pm daily, priced
VND 20,000 / trip.

manage elephants. Start with finding elephants released to look for foods in
the forest based on the food signal, footprints, elephant dung, etc. After that,
